While the rest of Sydney’s clearance rates have kept below 70% for over a month, the Inner West has proven to be far more resilient with a clearance rate of 80%.
Many home owners have taken advantage of this with a 40% rise in the number of properties going to auction since this time last year.
The area displaying some of the strongest demand for homes is Homebush.
It’s a good area with quality schools, the Homebush village shops and eateries and it’s still close to the city and Parramatta CBD.
If you are buying in Sydney’s Inner West, ensure that the property is in fact in the advertised condition with a pre-purchase building and pest inspection.
