CoreLogic RP Data’s 2015 ‘Best of the Best’ report has shown that North Shore suburb, Mosman, is Sydney’s most sought after neighbourhoods.
The suburb clocked a staggering $1.229 billion in house sales from September 2014 to September 2015.
This is significantly higher than Number 2 on the list which was Glen Waverly in Victoria which came in at $885.765 in house sales.
Other Sydney suburbs to make it in the Top Ten were Vaucluse in the East and Castle Hill in the West.
Michael Coombs of McGrath Mosman said “Mosman is the number one suburb on the north shore that people want to live in, it’s always in high demand.”
Mosman also placed fourth for the greatest total value of apartment sales in Australia at $446.652 million.
“Also it’s quite a large suburb and does cater from one-bedrooms to some of the best prestige homes in the country; so I think when you’ve got all sections of the market firing in the last 12 months you’ve got that whole market active,” said Michael Coombs.
It really is no wonder when the suburb is almost surrounded by harbour foreshore which allows for stunning views over Sydney’s Harbour.
