Sydney’s North Shore pulled in some mixed results with a Lane Cove residence attracting around 150 people and selling at $2.38 million which was almost $500,000 more than the price guide.
This wasn’t the case for other auctions in Mosman and Neutral Bay which were pulled causing surprise amongst local agents.
The North Shore suburb of Lane Cove is proving popular with young families and investors and at 15 minutes from the CBD there is no slowdown in pricing and sales.
Monika Tu of Black Diamondz said of other North Shore locations “there is definitely a lot of demand from Chatswood, Linfield, Roseville and Killara. We have 50 buyers waiting for stock in that area.”
This was not the case for elsewhere as two properties were pulled from North Shore suburbs Mosman and Neutral Bay.
McGrath agent, Piers van Hamburg, who represented the Neutral Bay property was surprised as interest ran hot on the listing.
Are you looking to buy a Sydney North Shore property at auction? Make sure you get a building and pest inspection done before settling so you know what you’re buying into.
