Artarmon Property Price Rise

Artarmon Train Station

Over the last 5 years North Shore suburb, Artarmon, has experienced phenomenal growth in the suburb’s median house price.

Once $1.5 million was all you needed to buy a freestanding home, now the number is just an entry point into the suburb with the median rising to $1,895,000.

The highest recorded price in the area was on par with Artarmon’s more prestigious neighbours in Willoughby and Northbridge.

Cunninghams Property agent Elliot Shoebridge said “it’s an area in demand, with its close proximity to Chatswood, the city and all the amenities in the area.”

Artarmon sits six kilometres from the north of the CBD and lies on the north shore train line.

The area has become a hive of activity with shops, restaurants with walking and cycling paths into the city which makes it popular with city workers.

Young families also find the lure of green parks appealing as well as Artarmon Public School catchment which features opportunity classes and strong Naplan results.

Mr Shoebridge believes that the suburb’s popularity will continue to soar with prices climbing in 2016.
