For almost half a century the Rando Family have called Bondi Beach home.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The family bought into 148 Warners Avenue on Bondi Beach in 1969 for $37,000 and in September 2015 made the decision to put the house up for market.<\/p>\n

This house is one of two freestanding houses left on Bondi Beach and the prime positioning is enough to make any surfer or property developer drool.<\/p>\n

It is more than likely that the house, which is open to offers of and above $10 million, will be bought and razed for apartments. However, we think that this beautiful old house would make a lovely home with a bit of updating.<\/p>\n

It is what is known as a Californian bungalow and has a 12 metre frontage that runs along the beach. Ballard Property agent, Mark Lowe, said \u201cWalking into the house is like walking back in time,\u201d he says. \u201cIt\u2019s like being in a museum or an antiques\u2019 store.\u201d<\/p>\n

Owner\u2019s son Bart Rando said \u201cIt would be nice for the house to stay as a single home, and it could be a lovely home, but I guess that\u2019s up to the buyer.\u201d<\/p>\n

The house has 2C1 zoning for medium and high-density residential housing which will probably mean that apartments will be on this properties future to achieve a high return on investment for the developer.<\/p>\n

Even when looking at prospective investment properties, it is crucial to get a building and pest inspection<\/a> prior to purchase to ensure that the structure is sound and the property’s condition reflects the price.<\/p>\n
