Marrickville is now a first-choice Sydney suburb attracting hipsters and young families looking for Inner City living with more open spaces for children.
This suburb has been a slow starter and was once considered undesirable due to its ‘working class’ leanings. Aris Dendrinos from Richardson & Wrench Marrickville asked the question “Is Marrickville the new Paddington?”
This may well be true as there was a 20 per cent increase in the median home values across houses and apartments and Mr Dendrinos says that even Newtown buyers are looking at what Marrickville has to offer.
